| Description | France, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence (04) Méailles is a small village perched on a ridge that dominates the Vaïre, at an altitude of 1,050 m. The village is placed on a steep rock which originates in the territory of Fugeret and extends to the mountain of Grand Coyer. The height of this rock provides a natural defense to the village, which is established on a small plain, where the cultivation of fruit trees is possible. The village is picturesque, with its narrow streets, old stone houses, legendary bell tower and chestnut trees. |
