Born in 1739, Gian Stefano Monti, Lama priest and episcopal vicar, in May 1793 became the very Republican chairman of the interim administration of the department of Corsica, Bastia folded. Refuge in Toulon in May 1794 after the capture of the city by the Anglo-Corsican, he died there in June 1795. |
